John Adam Murph

John Adam Murph - 8:00 pm
Established country music singer/songwriter John Adam Murph – or JAM as he is known to his friends -- is no stranger to the stage. He began performing at the age of 6, winning a talent contest in Montgomery, Alabama. As an early teen, he played with local bands as a drummer/singer. Currently Murph is co-writing with some of Nashville’s top songwriters and performing at singer/songwriter events. He was recently in the studio recording with legendary session musician/producer Biff Watson. In 2007, John performed at a large outdoor festival in Sweden. Later this Summer, he will travel to Denmark and the Netherlands for performances at large, outdoor festivals.

Wendy Newcomer

Wendy Newcomer - 8:30 pm
Wendy Newcomer is an Americana/country singer-songwriter originally from Asheboro, North Carolina, currently living in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2006 she released her self-titled CD, with original songs influenced by heroes including Emmylou Harris, Loretta Lynn, Patty Loveless, Guy Clark and Tom Petty; and interpretations of songs by some of her favorite writers. She made her Grand Ole Opry debut in 2000 and released her debut EP, “Raised On Promises,” in 2004. In 2005, Newcomer was a semi-finalist in the ASCAP-sponsored International Songwriting Competition. Her song “Runaround” received Honorable Mention in the 2006 ISC and was the No. 1 country song in the ISC People’s Voice category. She performs around the southeast and southwest, is an in-demand demo singer, and has also recorded regional voiceovers and jingles.

Brownell & Richey

Brownell & Richey - 9:00 pm
The illegitimate love children of Country and Rock & Roll. In 2006, Nick Brownell and Jeremiah Richey met as rivals while filming ABC’s reality show, “The One: Making a Music Star.” After the short lived series the two went their separate ways, Nick back to Sandusky, OH, and Jeremiah to Waxahachie, TX. In the fall of 2007, Jeremiah got word of a new series on CMT called “Can You Duet,” and immediately called Nick to see if he wanted to partner up for the show. Six months later the duo known as Brownell and Richey emerged from the competition as first runners-up. Armed with the momentum from the CMT series the guys are booking shows with major country artists like Jessica Simpson and are ready to explode onto the county music.

Stacie Collins

Stacie Collins - 9:30 pm
Collins’ new CD, The Lucky Spot, is a ten-song Southern Rockin’, Twang Bangin’ Blues romp. If it had been released twenty or thirty years ago this recording would sound as natural on good-times 70s FM radio, alongside ZZ top and Wet Willie, as it would next to recordings by retro-rockers like The Blasters and Jason & the Scorchers. As it is, Stacie’s sophomore record ensures that her voice will add to a growing chorus of contemporary, heartfelt rock and country artists that includes the likes of Lucinda Williams, the Kings of Leon and Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes.

Amanda Williams

Amanda Williams - 10:00 pm
Amanda Williams is one of the most talented and versatile songwriter artists in Nashville. Born in East Tennessee, her mountain heritage shines through in her earthy and often unorthodox approach to music making. Whether she is crooning a country ballad or rocking out with her Gibson SG, Amanda’s music is authentic, heartfelt and real. “Williams cuts through the surface layers with the precision of a surgeon and reveals the beating heart of a song.” Her primary purpose is to connect with her audience and make them feel something. She says, “One thing that I learned about song writing is that if a song doesn’t make you want to laugh, or dance or cry then it’s not doing its job. “She learned her lesson well. Truly entertaining - truly amazing. Her songs make a difference. And so does Amanda Williams.
